About mybeauty

One job, done properly: sourcing for beauty brands

mybeauty does a single thing: we handle purchasing for people building their own beauty brands, from the first product decision to goods at their door.

What that means in practice

Three commitments shape every project we take on.

  1. 01

    Focused, not everything-to-everyone

We cover the key stages from product selection to delivery, and nothing outside sourcing. The narrowness is deliberate; it keeps our judgment sharp.

  2. 02

    Risk handled early

Strict supplier screening and quality control exist to stop problems before they become expensive ones.

  3. 03

    Advice you can act on

Deep familiarity with beauty categories and supply chains, pointed at helping new brands make better decisions, not at impressing them.

Why we work with new brands on purpose

Established brands have sourcing departments, tested supplier relationships, and playbooks. A founder on a first product has none of that, and the decisions in front of them, which product, which factory, what quantity, carry the highest cost of being wrong they may ever face.

That is the gap we chose. Early sourcing decisions compound: a factory chosen carelessly shapes your quality, your margins, and your launch date all at once. Helping someone get those first decisions right is where good sourcing judgment matters most, and it is where we have aimed everything we do.

There is an honest trade-off in this focus. We are not the partner for a multi-market retail rollout with legacy vendor negotiations. If that is your situation, we will tell you so instead of taking the project.

Principles

What we insist on, and what we walk away from

These standards cost us some projects. We consider that a feature.

  1. 01

    No unverified suppliers

If we cannot confirm a manufacturer's capabilities and track record, it does not reach your shortlist, however attractive the quote looks.

  2. 02

    No skipping inspection

Every production run gets checked against the approved sample. There is no order size below which this becomes optional.

  3. 03

Honest fit over an easy yes

When a product idea, budget, or timeline does not look workable, we say so at the start. A declined project costs us far less than a failed one costs you.

Risk view

How we think about sourcing risk

Sourcing risk is rarely one big event. It is a series of small uncertainties, a material substitution here, a rushed step there, each of which seems manageable until they stack. So our approach is less about dramatic saves and more about removing the places where uncertainty can hide.

In practice that means verifying before trusting, checking while a correction is still cheap, and keeping you informed in plain language throughout. When something does go wrong, and in manufacturing something eventually does, the difference is whether anyone saw it coming. Usually, we do.
